2025 Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival, Washington D.C. πŸŒΈπŸ“πŸ‰πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅πŸ¦Š

Considering the content and characters in my book, it was only fitting that we finally ventured into D.C. to check out the Sakura Matsuri Japanese street festival!

I have wanted to attend this event for years, but something always seemed to get in the way (including COVID). FINALLY, considering the circumstances (my book unleashed on the world!) now was the perfect time!

It was a chilly, overcast day, and it rained on us a little on the drive up, but thankfully, it stopped just in time for the festival and all the people marching in the parade.

Everyone we met was very friendly and stopped to pet Mickey. There was even a photographer shooting photos of him at the Kirin Beer booth as he licked him and enthusiastically said hello! It was adorable, and everyone loved it. I thought someone had taken a video of it, but neither John nor I had any! I could have kicked myself for that one! I still haven’t asked Ciarra if she filmed it; hopefully, she did.

After we had completed our walkthrough of the entire festival, we were ready to relax and have lunch. However, we needed to find a place that allowed dogs! Luckily, John found oneβ€”and it has a Michelin star, no less! Here is where we went! It was YUMMY and the drinks were great! Our server was also fabulous!

This is the exact menu we ordered off of. I loved the Churros!

After lunch, we made the trek home, going the more rural route (which is a lot more chill and less traffic!) On this particular drive, there is a restaurant we always pass, and we love to joke about the name, calling it “HOR-NEES” instead of “HORNES.” You can hear me in the video saying it aloud. It always makes me smile when I see it because we are on a happy adventure every time we drive past it! This is the link to the place. It is the last one left!

I love the vibe of Washington, D.C. I have been to many metropolitan areas, but this one is different. It could be because my Venus ASC line goes directly through it, LITERALLY! It is directly beneath the Capital Building and the Washington Monument! NO JOKE! I can feel the power whenever I am there. It’s incredible! For those who don’t know what a ley line is you can read about it here:

Where I currently reside, I am still almost on top of the Venus ASC line, but up in D.C. it is even stronger, and my ASC in my relocation chart shifts a degree making it a Libra degree (which is RULED BY VENUS)

I love Virginia. It is such a beautiful place to live. I adore the forests, and there’s something for everyone here!

Without further ado…here is the video of our adventure! Please join us!πŸ’•πŸŒΈπŸ’•
